What we do

We focus on the districts of Kahramanmaraş: Onikişubat, Dulkadiroğlu, Elbistan, Afşin, Göksun, Pazarcık, Türkoğlu, Andırın, Çağlayancerit, Ekinözü, Nurhak. You can browse stories by topic and district, or pick a district on the District Atlas on the home page to reach its latest story.

Where our stories come from

• Press releases and bulletins of public institutions such as municipalities, the governorate and the university.
• Stories published by local news sites: we process them by naming the source, linking to it and rebuilding the story in our own sentences.
• Photographs are only those that arrive with the bulletins of public institutions; we do not use other sites’ photographs.

How we write and verify

• AI-assisted writing: Stories are written with AI assistance, based on the information in the source; every story carries a note saying so.
• Two-stage verification: Before publication a story passes rule-based checks, then a second reviewer compares the text with the source. If a claim has no counterpart in the source, the story is not published.
• Stories flagged by these checks are not published automatically; the Newsroom reviews them.
